Our History
Building a Firm Around Shared Values
Folsom Jackson builds directly on the vision established by its founding partners. In 2014, Christopher Delfino, Jennifer Madden, John O’Malley, Daniel Coyle, and Jeffrey Koewler decided to establish a law firm built on client-focused ideals after practicing at one of the region’s largest law firms. Their vision was to create a firm where experienced lawyers could work closely with clients, take a practical approach to solving legal problems, and build lasting professional relationships.
From the beginning, the firm brought together strong practices in business law, employment law, and family law, allowing clients to turn to a single firm for trusted counsel across a range of complex matters. Over time, new partners have joined the firm and leadership team, expanding the firm’s capabilities into real estate, complex business litigation, privacy law, and intellectual property while carrying the firm’s original vision forward.
The founders also set out to build something more than a collection of practices. They created a firm culture that values collegiality, thoughtful problem-solving, and a shared commitment to client service. That culture remains central to the firm’s identity.
“We wanted to build a firm where collaboration and practical judgment would guide how we practice law.”
Growth and Evolution
In the years following its founding, the firm has grown thoughtfully as attorneys elevated to partners, new attorneys joined, and practices expanded. The firm has developed a reputation throughout the Sacramento region for providing strategic advice, strong advocacy, and steady counsel to companies, entrepreneurs, and individuals facing complex legal challenges.
While the firm’s leadership has grown and changed, the philosophy set by the founding partners endures: experienced lawyers collaborating closely to provide strategic, practical counsel to their clients.
